I am a huge fan of Perry Mason. Late nights during the week I have spent many hours with him. He and Della make such a great team. Her giggle, his almost grin, her "I told you so look" and him paying for dinner! That being said, while rummaging through my old 1950's Good Housekeeping magazines I ran into a advertisement with Della, um I mean Barbara Hale in lingerie!
Have you ever seen lingerie made with so much material, so long and so blue?? I can just picture Della bringing Perry some hot tea, stirring the fire and tucking a sick Perry into the couch with a big fluffy blanket...oh wait that WAS an episod but Della had on a smart 2 piece outfit... it was gray I believe. Well really wasn't everything she wore gray!

Too funny!
Now, picture Della with Paul, becasue in real life they got married and had a kid who play "The Greatest American hero" on tv.
guess he really did think she was what he always called her" Hey beautiful'
She was gray and he was gay -- lingerie for EVERYBODY!!!
Lovely Lingerie but I hope its fire retardent for when she's poking about in that fire!!
Em xxxx
I used to love Perry Mason too! I always thought Della looked - well - too perfect!
As far as the lingerie - who could be comfortable with all that fluff? I bet 9/10 of today's women wear a T shirt and panties!
Too funny!
My husband and I watched Perry everyday when we were in CA. I don't see it anywhere here in Oregon
I miss those two
I hate to admit this but I don't think I've ever seen a whole episode of Perry Mason.
I used to watch Perry Mason....he always gets the bad guy! Della is really quite beautiful when she's out of those severe suits she always wore!
That was probably a very risqué photo back in the day... And didn't we all thin that Perry and Della had something going on?
Oh my goodness - I remember Lux Flakes. Perry Mason was an anchor show on Saturday night, I think. Right now the theme music is running over and over in my head.
Good morning! There's a Clucking Great Blog Award for you over at my blog today (Nov 8th)!
Ah, Perry. :) I watched Perry and Della all weekend because it was pouring rain and it was cold... and I was fighting off some nasty bug. I own season 1 of Perry Mason, and the show is like comfort food for me.
I even FEEL better today!
