Giant Marigolds, Cave Man Club Gourds and Green Salsa...

It was a great season for gourds. I have a lot and some of them stand as tall as my waist. The cave man club gourds did exceptionally well.
My marigolds grew over for feet tall this year, it is crazy.

I am off to make green salsa!

Green Salsa
5 cups diced green tomatoes
3 cups diced Anaheim chilies
1 cup seeded jalapenos
2 whole chopped jalapenos
8 cups chopped onions
2 cups vinegar
1/4 cup lemon juice
12 cloves garlic minced
2 T. cumin
5 T. cilantro
2 T. salt
1 T. black pepper

Bring to boil, then simmer at least 1 hour.
Process 25 minutes.

My oh my!! Look at these gourds. This is a spectacular harvest...
Hope they all dry well and become something wonderful.
The marigolds are huge. What are you feeding everything? That soil must be really good.
The salsa recipe looks delicious. I may try some.

What are you putting in that dirt to make those marigolds grow like that?? I have NEVER seen anything like it! My tomatoes did get that tall this year. Your salsa sounds yummee!

I printed the salsa recipe for my husband. I think he'll love it!
I love the gourds. Do you wood burn them all. How long does to take to dry them and prepare them for wood burning?

Your gourds are amazing! Do you use them in art or are they to eat?

WOW, I did not know that marigolds ever got to be so tall... okay, you were on your knees, right?

The gourds, are these edible varieties and/or do you make bowls or bird houses out of them? You have a bunch of them

WOW on the gords. Just beautiful. I am so impressed with the marigolds. The grasshoppers here eat my to the steams and leave me with twigs sticking out of the ground. It's a sad sight. Salsa would be so good about now :)
