Microwaves Are For Big Girls and A Blood Filled Running Shoe!

I get to watch my niece and two nephews 2 times a week and have done so since they were born. My little niece is going through a major growth burst and is starving ALL the time. So Aunt Mimi (me) decided to put a little Tupperware bowl in the fridge filled with macaroni and cheese, so that she could pull it out and eat it anytime. She is 7 so I figured she was safe enough to push the 30 sec button on the microwave. It was wonderful. I had an entire day without her coming to me saying, "Gee Mimi, I haven't had an orange in a really long time!" Hahaha. The following day, they came to play and Kaylee was sitting on my kitchen counter (she does this every morning to watch the hummingbirds and blue jays). Anyway, I was in the front room changing a her brother's dirty diaper and I heard her say something along the lines of "Mimi can I microwave...." So I just assumed it was the macaroni and cheese and I gave her permission. I heard the microwave turn on, and then after 30 seconds it turned off. I was carrying the diaper outside and as I walked through the kitchen she was on the counter grinning ear to ear. "Oh Mimi these are sooooo warm, this is the best day of my entire life!"   Well, it turns out I, yes little old me, gave her permission to cook her slippers!!!!!!! Her pink fuzzy camouflage slippers!!! I explained maybe we shouldn't do that again because of the plastic soles!!!

My toe has hurt ever since that guilt-filled pedicure.(Click here to read pedicure story). Well today, during my run, my foot with the sore toe felt kind of cold. I got home and peeled my sock away to find that my sock and shoe were both filled with blood!!! Lovely!!!! So on top of the guilt, I also got an ingrown toenail! Thanks.

Oh my!!! Kids will be kids at times. They can do some of the craziest things :O)

Ouch!!! Poor toe!!! Hope it all is getting better. What a pedicure experience. I'm sure it will be a lot better next time.

Have a wonderful day, and a great weekend.

I'm always hearing horror stories about pedicures but I have never had a problem. I consider it the height of luxury and try to have 2 or 3 of them a year.
Can I recommend a product. I have horrible feet and I don't take care of them the way I should so my heels and the bottoms of my feet have always cracked and bled, especially in the summer when I go barefoot a lot.
The Product is called Healthy Feet. It's a "miracle" cream that has ended any problems I had with dry feet. Go to; okeeffescompany.com
It's the best stuff since the invention of the Microwave....which, by the way, is suppose to be for FOOD ONLY. LOL.
