Suggestions Please, Spicey Radishes, Ham and Another Laugh On Me!

I found this way cool large bottle at a garage sale yesterday. It has a little round door cut into it. I so want to do something inside it. Maybe a fairy garden or something but I am not quit sure. Any suggestions???? I really need some fresh ideas. (Excuse the dust, I just picked it up yesterday and have not cleaned it  yet.)

Hubby came in with two handfuls of beautiful pink radishes. A little salt and they are perfect. We eat them plain or in salads. Anyone have any good radish dish recipes?
My son is the ham! This was taken Friday on his way to teach a merit badge in Scout Jamborall!
*FREE LAUGH HERE*
So this morning I get out of bed bright and early on the only day I can sleep in. It always happens! I cannot sleep past 6:30 and it is really annoying! So if I don't put on my glasses I figure that I am not really all the way up yet. This is a little trick I do but it really never seems to work out the way I think it should. I usually just end up running into the corner of a wall or tripping on a step... Anyhow so here I am treading to the kitchen to start my coffee pot and what do I do but step right into a nice warm pile of cat barf. Yay me!!!! Now if I would have had my glasses on I probably would have seen it, but no, I had to go and pretend like I could go back to sleep at any moment. The laugh doesn't stop here because really that was pretty damn gross. Next on the list is feeding and letting the chickens out of the coop. So there I am bending over, yes bending over the chickens feeding bin, getting a scoop of 16% protien mixed with some scratch and shell (just thought I would throw that in) when all of a sudden I am goosed in the ASS CRACK, YES ASS CRACK (saying "butt crack" just doesn't cut it) by a big fat red hen!!!!! Guess who's egg I am eating for breakfast!

What a great find! I can certainly see a little Fairy Garden/terrarium in the bottle. And then if the plants don't live (I don't have much luck with terrariums..) you could turn it into a cemetery. Just a thought....

Great pic of your son. :0) Definitely one for posterity. You can show it to his girlfriends later in life. 'Cause that's why us Moms take pics of the kids - to embarrass them later!

Lovely radishes! Yum!

OMG - thanks for the morning laugh! Sorry - but I have a crappy cold, and hearing about being goosed by a chicken, is just what I needed to feel a bit better - giggle!

Ooh! Fresh radishes! My favorite way to eat them is thinly sliced on hot toast with a little mayo. Yummo! (I do this with sliced tomatoes as well)

Clearly the cat and chickens are on a vendetta against you. Be careful, my friend . . . very, very careful.

You are a really great writer little missy. I have added you to my followers because I love reading your posts. I think you could write for a living.
I'm not creative about terrarium ideas but I would like to know how someone got a hinge on that cut out piece of glass.
My husband LOVES radishes. I do not. Other than very thin slices in a salad I cannot offer much culinary advice. They are beautiful just out of the ground though.
...and for heaven sake put your glasses on.

I have the same radish problem. I guest blog for The Herb Companion and there was just a post on pickling of radishes and it looks easy and good. Here is a link:

Hope you like it.

That bottle hanging in a net bag outside would make the ultimate birdhouse. Just figure out a protected spot, and a way to keep the little door open. But you could always check on the chicks by looking through the glass. Its a little late in the year, but maybe for next spring... ;)

That was your sign to go back to bed...QUICK! I've been pecked in the butt by Skippy. I worry about bending over in front of him since I'm not sure he sees me as his mama or one of his girlfriends! I'm afraid he might try to mount me. I'll never be able to look him in the eye again!

Check out those muscles on your boy!

That is an amazing bottle find! Here is a cute idea and you wouldn't have to water it...

Love the bottle. Your boy is cute and too freakin funny about getting goosed. Better a hen then a rooster. Same thing happended to be but the rooster drew blood. steaping on nastly things seems to be a daily occurrence here.
