The Great Race!

I heard a ruckus this morning. All the chickens were chasing Henny (my Rhode Island Red Hen) and screeching at her. I slipped on my half eaten boots,(thanks to the dog)pulled on my hubby's sweat shirt and went out into the rain to see what the heck was going on. Henny had something yellow in her mouth and the other ladies thought she should share. The problem was it did not look like anything edible. So the chase began. Me chasing a bossy chicken in the rain, being chased by 7 other hens all wanting a piece of the action, wearing boots that were half gone, a sweat shirt down to my knees, crazy long messy hair and of course my glasses were still on my nightstand! After about a twenty minute side show for my neighbors, who I am sure were eating popcorn and looking out their windows, I pulled from her beak a yellow LEGO HEAD! I think I will skip my run this morning, I am pooped!

What a thoughtful hen! She wanted you to get your exercise early and have a really funny post and photo. Henny is a real kick! LOL

Maybe I should give my hens a yellow lego head, then let them loose! I'm sure I'd get better at my run then!

That is too funny! Mine don't even bother looking at the brightly colored pellets from the airsoft gun, but let me bring out a box of fruit loops and they are tickled. Cora only eats the orange ones. Shes a strange girl!

In my neck of the woods, we call this a gong show! We have one of these every week here - minus the chickens of course!
