Oh my goodness! How wonderfully brave of you to post a picture of your "ancient past!" You are one gutsy lady!
I am supposed to meet a friend at 6 a.m. this morning...was running through my mind a plethora of excuses not to go...now I MUST! THANK YOU for this motivation!
And in the words of Billy Crystal: "You look maaaaaaaaaahvelous!"
I loved your post! The part that you run for her got me! Yeah for you and thanks for the inspiration. I hit the treadmill for the first time in a long time today.
OMG! This is amazing! I should start running too, the way things are going I will end up like your first pic. Back to school and I will be back to the gym. Congratulations and thanks for sharing
What an inspiration you are to me!!There is a inner shift when we become proud and in love with ourselves.. and after that.. there is no turning back.Congrats to you,We see all your beauty..inside and out.Warmest Regards,Cat
~not for just your outter appearance but i am sure your inner self is just bursting with life and energy...how wonderful for you and {her} that you have remained motivated and determined...something so many of us struggle with...may you remain inspired to continue on this path...warm wishes and brightest blessings~
Wow--that's brave. You look great now and so much younger. Recently, I was looking thru some pictures of me about 10 years ago and realized that I looked fat. Then, I looked at another photo of me from 25 years ago of me in a bikini. I figured the difference in weight was something like 25 pounds. I'm in between the two photos but would like to get closer to my bikini weight. Your post is inspiring me to walk more.
you go girl :-) I wish I could get into running but I've never been able to get into a zone so to speak. I'm happy you found and enjoyable exercise! You look amazing !!!
I never realized you had lost weight. I think it's awesome you call yourself little messy missy, because sometimes we aren't brave enough to think of ourselves as small when we've been larger. I was always thin until I got into my 40s, and I gained a bunch of weight. I lost 60 pounds a few year ago, then gained 20 of them back. I seem to be maintaining my weight better now, and am not continuing to go up.
Such an inspiring post and thank you for shairng more about you.
I'd love ot go running and seriously need to, but I don't feel safe going out running where i live and I don't have any friends where I am to go with. I am hoping to get cycling at some point, so that will be something.
I cannot STAND how cute you are in pig tails!!! I just can't stand it. Thank you, thank you for posting before and after pictures. I have a similar goal...not to run, but to be able to do drops and squats in my dancing without annihilating my knees. Keep runnin' messy missy.

Can't run any more, Missy, but I try to walk every day or garden or something! Losing weight is very life changing! Keep it up!
You are one beautiful gal, thick or thin. I'm glad you have hooked into your "real" self . . . I hope you never let her go again. Wonderful post.
You are the same beautiful soul in both, but your eyes are happier in the May photo..

we we should be proud of ourselves no matter what size we are! we will not be judged on our size or our hair color or how we dress but how we lived!
