The Passage

I just finished reading The Passage by Justin Cronin. WOW! There are 766 pages in this huge book. It took me longer then normal to read, but I LOVED it. If you are into vampires (not the pretty boy kind), human experimentation in medicine and a great cast of charters then this book may be for you. It kind of reminded me of the series Uglies by Scott Westerfeld but for a much more grown up audience.  The book is big, heavy and long and I will not lie, sometimes I wish he could have hurried it up a bit. Overall it was a great read and I have heard a 2nd book will show up in 2012. I give it 4 out of 5 stars. Now back to Hautman his book Rag Man came in my mailbox today!!!

Guess it must be a pretty good read, if you made it through so many pages!

Love the not-so-pretty-boy vamps.
Anita Blake and the Black Dagger Brotherhood are right up there for me. And yes, Team Edward all the way! LOL

I am always interested in a good read! Thanks for the suggestion...I will add that to my reading list.

Have you heard of the book Vampirates? I saw it at Borders yesterday. It is a teenager vampire novel. I was too cheap to buy the hardcover version.

Thanks,
Rosey

Sounds good ... long but good. Thanks for the heads up. Vampires are sure big right now. Haven't seen any lately though.

Thanks! I'm always looking for good book recommendations. I read (listen to the CD's) faster than most authors can crank em out!
