4 ounces saltine crackers
1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
3/4 cups chopped nuts (optional)
Preheat oven to 400*
Line a cookie sheet with saltine crackers in a single layer.
In a saucepan combine the sugar and the butter. Bring to a boil and boil for 3 minutes. Immediately pour over saltines. Cover the crackers completely.
Bake for 5-6 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle on the chocolate chips, let sit for 5 minutes the spread the melted chocolate. Add nuts if you want. ( I sometimes add broken up candy bars or sprinkles. Candy canes are fabulous on them!)
Cool completely then break into pieces.

Don't worry about how to store them because there won't be any left!

That's what I'm talking about. If you are going to indulge, it may as well be worth it. Thanks for sharing this recipe. I think I will get my daughter to make this.
Mmmm, sounds delicious -- but I think this treat could benefit from a more user-friendly name!
