Treasure

Today my hubby's mom brought us some family items. They are were his grandma's and great grandmothers.. Now who could ask for anything better then receiving a little wooden sewing box. And it was FILLED!!! Too many little things to detail or picture... spit curl pins, buttons, patterns etc, and even a sock darner. I love the copper watering can and the candy dishes, not to mention the flour sifter and rolling pin. The sewing machine is a Kenmore Model number 605, I am not sure the date of it my guess would be 1950-1960's. If anyone knows let me know...

What fabulous treasures...and family history to go with it makes it a double bonus!

I'm with you! Give me a box of sewing supplies and a couple of hours to rummage and I am a happy girl!

Enjoy!

VERY cool!! Love that colored glass. Can't help you with the sewing machine - I have an old White I got for my high school graduation - still using it!

I have a Kenmore from the 1970s. It used to belong to my sister, who is a very serious sewer. Those old Kenmore's were really made to last. Mine is as heavy as all get out, but it still works! P.S.: So glad you approve of your goddess.
