This here dog is for the birds!
My dog ate a sleeping bag. Well more likely he opened it up and played with the stuffing for half an afternoon. My back yard was covered with white soft fluffy batting that looked like snow except of course it was clean, not anything like the snow that is left on the ground in late February in Utah. I told myself yesterday that this morning I would head outside and try to clean it up the best I could. I was praying it would not be windy fearing that the fluff would be dragged to the koi fish pond and would do a number on the pumps. I woke today and started the coffee pot, a ritual I can do without glasses and still in REM sleep I am sure, and when the morning haze drifted from my eyes I saw dozens of sparrows and blue jays all over my backyard. Each would land, hop over to a mound of fluff and carry it away. When I say a lot of birds I mean A LOT of birds! There is hardly more then a handful of fluffy stuff left! So the thoughts that will carry me through this weekend will be all these birds making nests that are just not made from sticks and fur but soft polyester and artificial down... what a nice place to sit on eggs!

How nice is that! But can't you imagine these same birds in July wondering why their buts are so dang hot!
I love it when a mess magically disappears! Wonder if we can get those little winged birds to come in the house to clean!
Oh, I love this story!
Your dog must be working part time for the birds. It's neat thinking of all the bird's that will have extra cozy nests this Spring.
