I took these pictures this morning. It has snowed now for almost 2 days, and I am afraid it is NOT an April's Fools joke! The fresh snow makes everything clean and orderly. I must admit I like the snow in April, it keeps me in line. Let me explain. I am the kind of girl who once I get started on the gardens, lawn, koi fish pond, chicken coop cleaning and fixing etc I seem to forget that I have laundry, dishes, and even dinner to cook. So the snow slows me down and forces me to sit still and see what is going on around me. If it would have been a dry day today I would have been outside cleaning the chicken coop, turning earth and pulling some weeds, forgetting to eat and loving every minute of it, but with the snow making everything still and cold I can see that today should be clean the kitchen day and laundry day. So the snow grounds me. I am allowed to give up little bursts of energy on the dry days and then by being pushed indoors by the cold I am able to accomplish the inside chores. So today I am thankful for the snow. I will do what is needed and then I will sit, read and remember to rest.
