The blue you see in the very back of the picture is the Great Salt Lake.
I was given a hummingbird feeder by my parents for Mother's Day and last week I hung it up outside my kitchen window. The hummingbirds are coming like crazy. I saw 6 all fighting over the feeder yesterday morning. We also have a large yellow bird sneaking some of the nectar. I have no idea what kind of bird it is so if anyone knows let me know. I have never even seen this bird in my yard before and now he is coming all the time for the hummingbird feeders. (There is a hummingbird in the first picture if you can find it.)
So my friend from Sandy Utah just called and told me it is snowing and sticking to the ground. I think I will cry. We were so patient with our plants. We started everything from seed in February and we waited an entire week after Mother's Day to plant. I am sick with worry for our 55 tomato plants and 90 or so pepper plants. As I sit here typing I can see the rain switching over to snow right before my eyes. Sniff sniff. I am just hoping it will warm up a bit and switch back to rain soon. I cannot go outside and cover my entire garden. I do not have a large enough tarp. It has rained so much here my basement has flooded twice.... and my heater has been on for 3 days... we are having a slow start to our summer.
