A Monster Calls...wow what a book!
Finished this book (work of art)... very difficult tale but very well written. If you dare pick up this book please read the back story of how it came to fruition. The illustrations are beyond beautiful in a scary sort of way but the pictures this story created in my mind will never leave me. I really did have nightmares the first night and I am not sure if it was the earache, Mexican food or this story that truly crept inside my head and keep my heart racing all night. I finished this book in three days flat with one book of tissues needed. Excellent, dark and meaningful. The road the 13 year old boy must travel on was captured so well by Patrick Ness. Hats off to you sir!

The Program
Great YA book I just finished. Not going to lie, this book was a little hard for me to read. It deals with suicide. I happened to have a member of my extended family pass away the same way while reading this book, which made it even more difficult to read. That being said it was a bit depressing in some parts but also filled with young love and the urge to fight for personal freedom. The book hooked me within the first two pages! I could not put it down! This book forms some scary and awesome ideas....can't wait for the sequel! Thumbs up to Suzanne Young for writing a book with such great emotion.

A Scary Little Tale....
Just finished a really good (kind of creepy) young adult book called, far far away by TOM McNEAL.
This book sucked me in, chewed me up and spit me out! It was a great read. A little scary, dark and contained a great ghost. Think "Brothers Grimm", and you got it. The back cover states... "this is a strange and fateful tale of a boy, a girl and an ancient ghost." Read it, it was awesome!
