Babies In The House..

The Hen house that is!!! Our tiny Malaysian Serama has hatched 4 baby chicks! We could hear the little chicks peeping inside the eggs right before they hatched. If you don't know much about the chickens, the Malaysian Seramas are the smallest chickens in the world!! Their babies are extra tiny and so cute.

Two more hatched and then a 4th the next day.

Now we have 4 baby chicks running around eating and sleeping (sometimes at the same time)! We plan on keeping one hen and selling the rest. We are the only breeders of this type of chicken I have been able to find in Utah.

Malaysia Ayam Serama - or Chickens in my kitchen!

The babies are now teenagers and the pecking order is getting established! I think I may have one rooster in the crowd. I will be keeping a close eye on her/him! The sounds they make are different from any other chickens I have raised. They really sound more like a bird. I look forward to seeing them full grown!
