Salsa and Cigar Boxes!

Harvest time. This is a pic of my garden. The structure in the far corner is the chicken coop and run. I could not fit in the pumpkins, gourds and squash into the picture, they are far left.

So far we have 4 dozen jars of salsa. Even the cilantro is home grown! This has been the best pepper year we have had in awhile. I love the heat!!!

I am in a Edgar Allen Poe Altered Cigar Box  SWAP, can you guess the theme?

I will only give a sneak peak of what is inside because my partner will not recieve it until Thursday and I don't want to give anything away. The box is filled to the top!! It was a lot of fun!

Inside the heart locket is a blood splattered Poe! Can't wait to see what my partner has created for me.
Well back to the kitchen I go... today I am canning Pear Butter and Pear Honey.

JEALOUS of all the salsa!! Your garden is about the size of our backyard. Therefore my "salsa" garden is about 3'x5' and I don't know that I'll even get 6 jars from it. Bummer for us, but it's my first year gardening and I learned a lot along the way. :) Maybe next year for me!

That garden still looks alive! Nice garden! You must have had a good year for tomatoes too! Lots of salsa! Neat cigar box!(Love the heart)

I canned one dozen pints of salsa yesterday and for five hours my HANDS WERE ON FIRE from the jalapenos. But I didn't complain about it at all. Ok, yes I did. I whined like a baby.

Four dozen-wow. You're a trooper.

Smiles,
Lisa

Looks like a great harvest! I love fresh salsa.
Your swap goodies look great. I'm still working on mine. I better get busy, the mail out date it just around the corner!

Your garden is inviting. I'd love to walk around in there and look at all the plants. The salsa looks so good!

I need to send you some of my peppers! They are so hot, it hurts to touch! Say the word, and I'll grab my rubber gloves and drop a dozen or two in a shipping box!
